The Sudanese Agency for Reconstruction & Sustainable Development (SARSD) is an independent, non-profit national development organization operating in the fields of humanitarian relief, recovery, reconstruction, sustainable development, community peacebuilding, economic empowerment, and social cohesion, guided by a professional institutional approach grounded in transparency, accountability, and effective partnerships.
SARSD was established under the Sudanese Voluntary and Humanitarian Work Act and possesses full legal personality, with the capacity to expand through branches and offices within Sudan and abroad in accordance with operational needs and strategic partnership programs.
The Agency seeks to contribute to rebuilding Sudan and strengthening community stability and inclusive development through the design and implementation of integrated humanitarian and development programs that respond to the needs of communities affected by conflicts, disasters, and socio-economic challenges, while focusing on building resilient and sustainable communities.
SARSD adopts a comprehensive development approach that combines emergency humanitarian response, early recovery programs, long-term development, socio-economic empowerment, and digital transformation, thereby enhancing opportunities for stability, development, and self-reliance.
The Agency works in partnership with government institutions, regional and international organizations, the private sector, academic and research institutions, and local communities to achieve sustainable development impact that supports reconstruction, peacebuilding, and national development in Sudan.
